Dr. Bryant didn’t just start an LLC—she established a platform to elevate voices from the margins and embed healing‑centered equity into the core of organizational change. DFB Coaching & Consulting is both her personal and professional expression: a way to bring her unique perspective into collaboration with leaders and institutions ready to transform from the inside out.
Dr. Felisa Bryant is a visionary leader, justice-impacted advocate, and the founder of DFB Coaching & Consulting, a trauma-informed practice rooted in healing, transformation, and equity. With a powerful personal journey from incarceration to executive leadership, Dr. Bryant brings over 15 years of lived experience, academic training, and systems-level insight to her consulting and coaching work.
A formerly incarcerated woman who rebuilt her life through education and service, Dr. Bryant holds a Ph.D. in Psychology with a focus on instruction and cognition. She currently serves as the Executive Director of The IF Project, a nationally recognized nonprofit that supports justice-involved individuals through storytelling, leadership development, and reentry support. Through DFB Coaching & Consulting, she offers strategic coaching, curriculum design, policy advising, and workshop facilitation for organizations committed to meaningful, equity-centered change.
Her mission is simple yet profound: to center lived experience as a form of expertise—and to help systems move from performative to transformative. Whether she's training correctional staff in gender-responsive practices, supporting nonprofits in developing trauma-informed programs, or coaching justice-impacted professionals stepping into leadership, Dr. Bryant leads with heart, authenticity, and purpose.
At the core of her work is a belief that healing is leadership—and that real change begins from the inside out.
